All products and services are produced by employing drones, also known as "unmanned aerial vehicles" (UAVs). Their reduced size and advanced navigation technology allow a high level of flexibly, easy transportation and low costs, compared to manned aircraft.
Aerorama is currently working with two types of UAVs, a helicopter and an aircraft, described in more detail below.
The Drones |
|
OctocopterAs a helicopter drone Aerorama employs an octocopter from the mikrokopter.de project. Endowed with eight electrically driven propellers, the octocopter has enough power to carry high-quality photographic equipment (see below). Depending on weight and battery configuration flights of up to 20 minutes are possible. A modern controlling and navigation technology allows high precision flying and positioning (with an accuracy down to one meter). These features combined with a very low vibration level of the electrical motors makes this device the perfect platform for aerial photography and video works. Technical data

AircraftFor large-scale photographic works an ultralight aircraft drone is used. This device can carry out flights with a flight time of up to 30 minutes, covering several hundred acres. Equipped with a 12 megapixel camera, it is ideal for orthophoto and photogrametric services. Also, the drone is equipped with an advanced navigation system, allowing it to perform autonomous flights over distances of several kilometers. Technical data
